It is with great sadness that the Parish Council announces the death, on 29th December, of its former member Gordon Addison. Gordon diligently served on the Parish Council for seven years. He was a constant supporter of all things – Great Paxton and really enjoyed his work with the Parish Council. Although from the stories Gordon told, his involvement began long before 2015 as he spent many years supporting his wife Joan in her role as Parish Council Chairman and Vice-Chairman doing lots of practical jobs all over the village! It was only his failing health that forced his retirement in October 2022.
Gordon was so proud, both to have celebrated his 90th birthday two years ago and to have lived in Great Paxton for over 40 years.
He was a gentleman, kind and engaging and will always be remembered fondly by his colleagues on the Parish Council. Rest in peace Gordon. Our condolences are extended to his wife, Joan.
