THURSDAY 7TH SEPTEMBER 2023

The Parish Council has received Notice from Cambridgeshire Highways, that their contractor will be undertaking work on the B1043 Huntingdon Road on Thursday 7th September, replacing road studs, high friction surfacing and road marking following recent carriageway Surface Treatment. The Parish Council is advised that works will last one night and whilst in progress, during operational hours, the road will be closed from 8pm to 6am, and vehicular access will be restricted.  A signed diversion route will be in place for through traffic.  A letter sent to neighbouring properties includes the following statement –

‘In order for the contractor to complete the work with minimum disruption, it is essential that no vehicles are parked on the road. If you have particular access requirements, please speak to a member of the crew onsite who will be able to assist.  Access to properties within the closure area will be possible, but are subject to working conditions, and delays are to be expected’.
