Great Paxton Allotments & Community Garden
This is a new project which is giving diverse members of the community a chance to grow food together, sharing often hard won experience in cultivating the soil to the benefit of all.
- We will share produce and intend to donate any surplus to the Great Paxton Community Shop.
- We also intend to have a communal area with perhaps a vine, or fruit trees, again, to the benefit of all.
- All age groups will be accommodated.
- We will learn about composting and maintaining an insect friendly environment, as far as we are able, water conservation and soil management.
This is a learning curve which will bring many benefits including physical activity, social interaction, cooperation and most probably a great deal of hilarity.
